Moncaret*: Visit of Gallo-roman site (very beautiful mosaics, remarkable thermal baths). Church, where at the bottom of the apse are four beautiful roman columns and marble Merovingian.
Montaigne*: Visit of the tower book shop of Michel Eyquem, Lord of Montaigne. Beautiful view across the hills and over the Gurson dungeon.
Saint-Emilion***: A must see, the hermitage of Saint-Emilion, catacombs, chapel of the Trinity and monolith 8th – 12th century church (make an appointment at the tourist office) and visit of the village. Possibility of a guided tour of the valleys, vineyards and château on the ‘Great vineyard train’.
